Slow, Rhythmic Breathing for Maximum Rejuvenation and Positive Energy

Have you ever felt overwhelmed with stress, or found yourself in need of a quick pick-me-up?

If so, I’ve got just the thing for you. It’s only 3 minutes but will help you switch off that fight or flight mode, boost energy levels while remaining calm, improve focus and improve your overall well being. It’s a special yoga breathing protocol known as “doubling your exhale”.

Doubling exhale is a breathing pattern where you double the length of your exhale compared to your inhale. This means that if you breathe in for four seconds, then you breathe out for eight seconds. This type of rhythmic breathing helps oxygen reach deep into the body and can create states of rejuvenation.

It also has strong mental benefits - research shows that slow rhythmic breathing helps reduce stress, increase focus, and lift mood throughout the day. In addition to reducing physical tension in the body, it also helps create clarity and calmness in our minds. Plus, it’s easy to do - all you need is a few minutes to practice this technique and reap its amazing benefits!

The scientific evidence behind double exhale is growing quickly as researchers learn more about how this technique affects our bodies. Studies have shown that when we use this breathing pattern correctly over time, our heart rate variability increases significantly which leads to improved health outcomes. In addition to improving our physical health, this technique also increases our mental resilience by providing an easy way to self-regulate during times of stress or anxiety.

Quit whatever it is you're doing, press play and take a 3 minute breather break with me. You deserve it. Slow rhythmic breathing is one of the best ways to improve your overall health and wellbeing!

Enjoy your 3 minutes,

xx
